About Me
I graduated from Michigan State University's College of Education in 2007 and completed my year long internship the following year in a 4th/5th grade split class in Pontiac, Michigan.
I moved from Michigan to North Carolina to begin my journey as a teacher in 2008. I have had the privilege of teaching 8th grade language arts to great students for the past four years. Along with teaching, I am also the head coach of 7th and 8th grade girls soccer at the school I teach at. It is always the highlight of my school year!
My husband and I were married in 2009 and we adopted our puppy, Bailey, a year later. We have enjoyed settling in to our new home and making a life for ourselves as "southerners".
In my free time, I love to explore new forms of technology that I can use in my classroom, read, travel, bake, spend time with my husband and my dog exploring North Carolina, and my newest hobby is running.
